Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (7p–7a)

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 17-bed Emergency Department serving primarily adult and geriatric populations with approximately 40 visits per day
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 while delivering high-quality, evidence-based emergency nursing care
• Document accurately and efficiently using MediTech electronic health records
• Participate in call coverage requirements to support daily volume and 24/7 coverage needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across a regional health center offering a broad range of services including ED, Critical Care, Med/Surg, OB, Pediatrics, and more

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Iowa licensure or eligibility required
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience; 2+ years preferred
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current ACLS certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Must meet all onboarding compliance requirements including a 10-panel drug screen (including opiates), state and county background checks fully cleared prior to start, Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions), mandatory reporter certification (child and adult), and titers within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Experience in a similarly sized regional or community emergency department
• Familiarity with MediTech EHR platform
