Ground Support Equipment WorkerAmentum is currently searching for a Ground Support Equipment Worker to work in our Lemoore, California location.The Ground Support Equipment Worker makes repairs to Ground Support Equipment (GSE) following orders of a higher-grade worker, troubleshooting malfunctions of GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools, prepares GSE for storage and transportation, uses automated maintenance data systems to maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions, maintains external fuel and grounding systems.Essential ResponsibilitiesThis worker performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE, inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation, services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air, disassembles and assembles malfunctioning GSE accessories and components.The Ground Support Equipment Worker removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories, stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications, stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations, operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles.Maintains vehicle records, maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records, provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations, and practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention and safety at all times.Performs all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.Other Responsibilities:Safety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. Procedure Compliance - Each employee must read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.Minimum Requirements:Must be a High School graduate or equivalent.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must have 2 years of recent experience working on Automotive/Mobile Equipment and/or appropriate training in functions such as Inspection maintenance and repairMust be able to lift 50 pounds.Must have a valid driver's license.Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security/SCI Security Clearance.The ability to obtain and maintain a Government Common Access Card (CAC).Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.Pre-employment drug screening is required.May be required to pass a U.S. Government background security check.Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.Preferred Qualifications:Strong problem-solving skills.Good verbal communication skills.Basic knowledge of maintenance repairs on a variety of equipment.Knowledge of Continuous Process Improvement.Time management and prioritization skills.Salary and Other Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $36.30 per hour.
