About the Role Currie & Brown is seeking a Quantity Survey or to join our team in Daleville, Virginia. The successful candidate will support project leaders by delivering core cost management services, including cost estimating, cost planning, procurement, and contract administration, for large-scale mechanical systems on high-tech and industrial projects. This role ensures projects are completed on budget, on schedule, and to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze mechanical construction cost estimates and budgets for complex industrial and semiconductor projects Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications, perform detailed quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam or similar tools, and apply accurate cost data and benchmarking Manage cost planning, cost control, and cost reporting throughout all project phases Provide strategic cost and commercial advice to clients and project management teams Participate in value engineering reviews, procurement planning, and life cycle cost analyses to support efficient project delivery Track and report on project financial performance, maintaining accurate forecasts and cost-to-complete data Lead and facilitate change order reviews; assist in validating and pricing changes across mechanical and multi-trade scopes Support tender analysis, contract administration, and final account preparation Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams through effective communication and professionalism Utilize Microsoft Office and client-specific cost management software as required Demonstrate strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills to meet deadlines Confidently lead cost review and project meetings with key stakeholders Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical cost management, estimating, or quantity surveying within construction, preferably with semiconductor or high-tech facilities Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to technical detail Experience in HVAC, piping, plumbing, process systems, or mechanical utilities preferred Prior experience working within a construction consultancy environment is highly desirable What We Offer A collaborative business environment, where every voice is heard and supported Opportunities for personal and professional advancement Buddy and mentorship program Continuous learning and professional development, in all stages of your career Opportunities for relocation, nationally and internationally Healthy work/life balance A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k matching, paid vacation and more. #J-18808-Ljbffr
