Candidates can explore more about IHG’s brands, reservations, and loyalty program online, including through the IHG One Rewards app. Role Description The HR/Accounting Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chicago Area. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes, coordinating benefits administration, and ensuring adherence to HR policies and procedures. The Specialist will also support accounting functions such as processing invoices, handling payroll-related data entry, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing activities in alignment with corporate standards. The position involves collaborating with hotel and corporate teams to address employee inquiries, support personnel management, and provide timely and accurate HR and accounting reports. The HR/Accounting Specialist is expected to maintain confidentiality, uphold compliance with local labor and financial regulations, and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Manage daily HR functions including onboarding, employee files, compliance documentation, and general staff support. Process bi‑weekly payroll accurately and on schedule. Handle accounts payable: invoice entry, vendor communication, payment processing, and reconciliation. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations. Support department managers with HR questions, scheduling documentation, and personnel updates. Assist with reporting requirements as needed by the General Manager and District Director Qualifications Experience in HR, payroll, or accounting (hospitality experience preferred). Strong attention to detail. Familiarity with payroll systems and accounting software. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Hotel experience preferred but not required.
