Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care Application for the role at Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Job Summary Insight is seeking a proactive, patient‑centric, and empathetic Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care clinic located in Flint, MI. The role supports the urgent care clinic from 8 am – 8 pm on a contingent/PRN basis, ensuring proper coverage and delivering patient care second to none. The Nurse Practitioner will work within a holistic approach to neurological treatment, supporting both staff and patients. Benefits Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage Paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and sick leave 401(k) with matching; full vesting after 3 months with eligibility to contribute Short & long disability, and life term insurance, complementary of full‑time employment Additional supplementary coverages offered at employees’ elections: Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, AD&D, etc. Duties Interview and examine patients to determine a diagnosis Perform physical exams and patient observations Consult with healthcare professionals and families Order tests to ascertain the nature and extent of illnesses and injuries Administer and analyze diagnostic tests Monitor and operate medical equipment Diagnose health issues Record patients’ medical histories and symptoms Maintain patient records and provide documentation for insurance companies Detect changes in patients’ health Train patients and families to manage and prevent illness and injury Other duties as assigned Qualifications Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S. Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program Previous experience within the field or related work environment preferred RN licensure in the state of employment or a compact party state, board‑certified by ANCC or AANP APN authorization in the state where employed to practice family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners Prescriptive authorization Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform work Knowledge of computer‑based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point‑of‑interview technology A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of disease prevention Able to work in a fast‑paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy Willingness to participate in goal‑setting and educational activities for professional advancement Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none Demonstrates enthusiasm and drive Able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment Exudes respect and flexibility to impact the workplace in a positive manner Detail‑oriented, conscientious and committed to precision in work results Ability to perform to a high level of accuracy Equal Opportunity Employer – Insight is an equal opportunity employer and values workplace diversity. #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight Hospital and Medical Center
