Quick Facts Location: St. Louis, MO Start Date: 10/19/2026 End Date: 04/19/2027 Shift: Day shift, Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hours/week: 40 Employment Type: Locum-to-Perm or Permanent Licenses/Certs: MO and IL licenses preferred, BLS, DEA, BNDD Experience: 2-5 years minimum Patient Population: Pediatric primary with occasional adult cases Facility: Hospital with outpatient clinics, inpatient consults Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $156.00/hr Pay Package: Discussed upon application Benefits Include: Competitive pay, weekly direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), paid sick time, licensure/reimbursement support, robust referral bonus program, 24/7 dedicated team support, vaccinations (flu), and certifications. What You’ll Do Conduct general genetics evaluations and manage metabolic disorders in pediatric and occasional adult patients Perform inpatient consults across PICU, NICU, and pediatric wards Collaborate with a team of genetic counselors, nurses, and assistants Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient management Support the hospital’s top-ranked programs in cardiology, neonatology, cancer care, and neurology Contribute to a multidisciplinary team ensuring the highest standards of pediatric genetic care What You Need Required: Board Certification in Genetics (BC) MO and IL medical licenses (or eligible candidates) BLS Certification Minimum 2 years of clinical genetics experience Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Preferred: Experience in metabolic disorder management Strong diagnostic skills and outpatient/inpatient experience IL license for telehealth consults (highly preferred) About the Assignment Support staff includes genetic counselors, nurses, and assistants in a state-of-the-art facility under construction, expected to open fully in 2027. The role involves outpatient clinics, inpatient consults, and support for specialized programs in pediatric genetics.
