Sapphire Nursing at Wappingers , a premier long term skilled nursing facility located in Dutchess County, New York, has a position open for Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistants  to join our growing rehab team! We are looking for individuals who desire a worthwhile career that has purpose and makes a meaningful difference in someone’s life. The Physical Therapist Assistant will be responsible for providing physical therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include :

· Implements patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist.

· Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient

· Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when the Physical Therapist is performing tests, evaluations and complex procedures.

· Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist Assistant Job Requirements :

· Associate’s degree in physical therapist assistant

· Valid New York State license

· Good organization skills

· Good communication skills

· Good written skills

· Rehab Optima experience is a plus

· New grads encouraged to apply

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy
• Valid NYS License awarded by NYS Education Department required
