About the Position

We are seeking a Pulmonary Critical Care Physician for a 3-day assignment in New York, beginning Aug 3, 2026. This role involves covering a ICU from Monday to Wednesday, 7am-7pm, with no call. The Physician will focus on managing critical care patients, including performing various ICU procedures and running codes on the floor, collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Cover a ICU, managing a typical census of 6 patients.
• Work Monday through Wednesday from 7am-7pm, with no call responsibilities.
• Collaborate closely with Hospitalist physicians, APPs, and a dedicated Critical Care APP.
• Manage 1-2 critical care admissions typically.
• Run codes on the floor with the team.
• Perform ICU procedures including intubation, vent management, lumbar puncture, central lines, and arterial lines.
• Provide care for patients with conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, Pneumonia, Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, and complicated post-operative care.
• Utilize sub-specialty support from Cardiology, Nephrology, and Gastroenterology.

Additional Information

• Board certification in Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Disease is required.
