Travel Nursery RN - $3,025 per week

Trusted Talent is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Laconia, New Hampshire.

Job Description & Requirements

Experience Requirements:

• 3-4 years of nursing experience with at least 2 years in NICU or SCN.
• Postpartum experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous NICU or Level 2 SCN experience is required.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred but not essential.

Floating Details:

• Possible float to postpartum or pediatrics, though not likely for travelers.
• Assignments may be given in postpartum or pediatrics if comfortable, otherwise will serve as helping hands based on experience.

Unit Details:

• The special care nursery is integrated with the labor and delivery unit, featuring an 18-bed LDRP.
• Staff includes 8-9 RNs per shift, with 2 RNs specifically trained for the special care nursery.
• The SCN caters to deliveries of 32 weeks and above, with nurses attending both vaginal births and cesarean sections.
• The unit also manages grower feeders and administers surfactant via LMA to suitable candidates.
• The nursery has 6 beds, with an average census of 2-5 neonates.

Special Skill Requirements:

• Comfortable assisting in deliveries.
• Proficient in starting neonate IVs.
• Experience with managing babies on C-PAP, tube feedings.
• Competent in ESC managing withdrawal substance abuse.
