This hands-on role will assess security gaps, build and maintain protective systems, respond to incidents, and provide technical guidance to other IT team members.Key Responsibilities:Design and deploy security solutions that support business needs and compliance requirements.Assess the current environment, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend practical improvements.Develop and maintain security policies, technical standards, and operating procedures.Build and support security capabilities using SIEM, data loss prevention, intrusion prevention, and related tools.Monitor security systems, manage access and provisioning activities, and investigate incidents.Help resolve urgent production security issues through occasional on-call support.Guide other IT professionals on secure practices and cybersecurity projects.Qualifications:Approximately 6–10 years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience.Strong background in security architecture, including building or substantially improving security infrastructure.Experience implementing and managing SIEM, DLP, and IPS technologies.Solid understanding of networking, servers, storage, and how to secure them.Ability to lead technical decisions and mentor colleagues.Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.A degree or security certification is a plus; relevant work experience is the priority.Additional Details:This position works with a seven-person security team that includes another senior team member and five early- to mid-career analysts and engineers. The interview process is expected to include a video conversation, an on-site technical discussion, and a final culture conversation.
