Commercial HVAC Project Manager / Estimator

Location: Utica, NY / Central New York
Compensation: $100,000–$125,000 base salary + bonus opportunity of $25,000+
Work Arrangement: Initially remote, with regular onsite project and customer visits

Airside Technology LLC is hiring a Commercial HVAC Project Manager / Estimator to help build and lead our presence in the Utica, NY market. This is a highly autonomous role for someone who can estimate commercial HVAC work, win projects, and manage jobs from kickoff through closeout .

You will receive support from our Syracuse office, but you will be the key local point person for customers, jobsites, vendors, subcontractors, and field coordination in the Utica area. This is a great fit for someone who wants ownership, flexibility, and the chance to help grow a market.

Airside Technology LLC is a full-service commercial and industrial HVAC contractor with experience across HVAC service, controls, pipe fitting, sheet metal, fabrication, system design, renovations, replacements, and mechanical projects.

What You’ll Do
• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for commercial HVAC projects, replacements, renovations, and system upgrades
• Review plans, specifications, drawings, site conditions, and scopes of work
• Perform takeoffs, solicit vendor/subcontractor pricing, and build labor, material, and equipment costs
• Identify scope gaps, constructability issues, value engineering opportunities, and project risks
• Manage awarded projects from start to finish, including kickoff, scheduling, purchasing, coordination, documentation, change orders, billing support, and closeout
• Coordinate with field crews, customers, GCs, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and the Syracuse office
• Track budgets, labor, material, schedules, project progress, change orders, and profitability
• Visit jobsites regularly to monitor progress, solve problems, and ensure safe, professional execution
• Build strong relationships with building owners, facility managers, general contractors, engineers, and local commercial customers
• Help establish and grow Airside Technology LLC’s presence in the Utica market

What We’re Looking For
• Commercial HVAC estimating and/or project management experience
• Ability to read plans, specs, mechanical drawings, and project documents
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, air handlers, boilers, chillers, pumps, ventilation, VAV systems, controls, ductwork, and piping
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, vendors, field labor, subcontractors, change orders, and customer expectations
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
• Ability to work independently in a remote/autonomous role while staying active onsite
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly around Utica and Central New York

Preferred
• Existing relationships in the Utica / Central New York commercial market
• Experience with plan/spec bids, design-build work, service projects, and replacement work
• Experience managing union labor, coordinating with union field teams, and supporting productive field execution
• Familiarity with estimating, takeoff, or project management software
