Field Service Low Voltage Technician

Position Summary iTekz is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This hands‑on role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial low voltage systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-service oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic industry. Occasional travel and after‑hours work may be required. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems and related components. Run and terminate cabling for new construction and retrofit projects. Install and configure networking equipment and associated components. Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and provide field service support. Complete site surveys and assist in developing bills of materials (BOMs) for projects, when needed. Maintain clear communication with clients, project managers, and internal teams. Read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Use meters and testing equipment associated with the trade. Operate industry-standard power tools and equipment safely. Uphold safety procedures and company policies at all times. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in low voltage systems installation and field service. Strong troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills. Professional appearance and strong customer service skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Experience conducting site surveys and assembling BOMs is a plus. Proficient with Apple and Windows OS computers and basic office/trade software. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to climb ladders/scaffolding, work at heights, and lift/carry 50+ lbs unassisted. Industry certifications and automation control systems training are a plus.
