Locums - Pain Management Anesthesiology Charlotte, North Carolina Position Overview

Specialty: Pain Management Physician - Anesthesiologist
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Duration: 3-month assignment with option to extend
Coverage Needed: 4-6 shifts per month
Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic / In-Office Procedure Suite
EMR: eClinicalWorks

Availability Required

Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, 1:00 PM-5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM-2:00 PM
No nights
No weekends
No call
No holidays

Licenses & Certifications Required

Active North Carolina Medical License (required before credentialing can begin)
Board Certified in Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) preferred
Interventional Pain Fellowship Training preferred

Clinical Responsibilities

100% interventional pain procedures
No new patient consultations
No follow-up visits
No medication prescribing
Perform approximately 25-30 procedures per day
Candidates should be able to maintain this procedure volume

Required Procedure Experience

Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections
Facet blocks and radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
Sacroiliac (SI) joint injections
Joint injections
Spinal cord stimulator trials
Kyphoplasty
Stellate, celiac, lumbar sympathetic, superior hypogastric, ganglion impar, gasserian, and occipital nerve blocks

Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience with interventional pain procedures
EHR proficiency
Strong communication and bedside manner
Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
Computer literate (training provided on practice workflow)

Support

Dedicated interventional pain-trained C-arm radiology technologist
Registered Nurse
Medical Assistant
Fully equipped in-office fluoroscopy suite with RF generator

Practice Details

100% outpatient setting
Freestanding in-office procedure suite
Adult patient population with acute and chronic pain
Established multi-site pain management practice
