We are seeking an experienced professional who possesses advanced knowledge of clinical research practices for a full-time Research Coordinator III. This position will function in the clinical research section of our Parkinson's Disease Clinic Center and Movement Disorders Clinic. The Research Coordinator III will function in a capacity in which they coordinate and facilitate clinical research trials throughout their duration. The Research Coordinator III will receive training; however prior experience is expected to fulfill all research aspects of this position. The ideal candidate is expected to perform responsibilities in a manner that promotes quality and safe patient care and customer service; adheres to the scope of practices as defined by the GCP/ICH guidelines.
The Research Coordinator III will conducts multiple clinical trials and service as the primary coordinator for assigned studies, under the supervision of PI and Clinical Research Manager. Works with study monitors to ensure conduct of trial within GCP standards. Collect, review, and submit research data to study sponsors, either via paper and/or electronic CRFs.
This position is located at Baylor College of Medicine McNair Campus, in the Texas Medical Center.

Job Duties
- Handles interviewing, screening and recruiting patients, site initiation visits, interim monitoring visits and close-out studies. Obtain informed consent forms and explaining processes and procedures to educate the participants regarding the respective research study. (20%)
- Schedules research participants for tests and procedures such as laboratory tests, x-rays, and other studies specific for the research protocol. (10%)
- Collects, processes, ship, and maintain paperwork for blood and/or biological specimens according to procedures outlined in study protocol. (5%)
- Maintains accurate records and regulatory documents and records for respective research studies to ensure compliance with FDA and other governing entities. (10%)
- Verifies investigational drug accountability. (5%)
- Collects patient information, processes documents and study visits in EPIC. (10%)
- May perform Venipuncture (blood draws), EKGs/ECGs and obtain vital signs on study participants. Will perform the placement/removal of infusion lines for study drug, will monitor patients during infusion of study drug, will administer study drug via injection (25%)
- Assists with the required submissions, amendments and renewals to the IRB. (2%)
- Maintains investigational drug dispensing accountability and shipping logs according to protocol guidelines. (3%)
- Interacts and submits to IRB (including new protocols, amendments, renewals, and unanticipated problems) (5%)
- Other duties as assigned (5%)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a clinical research capacity.
- Knowledge of Research processes a must.
- Advanced knowledge of Clinical Research.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and implement patient studies and protocols.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to coordinate research studies.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
