Medical Receptionist

Williamsburg, VA Pay from: $18 per hour

MUST: 3+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist

Must have scheduled for multiple providers

Must have EMR experience; Knowledge ModMed

Must have experience verifying insurance

Must have experience working in a busy multi-provider office

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong customer service experience

Strong experience answering phones and scheduling surgical procedures highly preferred

Experience pre-authorizing surgical procedures is highly preferred

DUTIES:

• Answer phones and direct calls
• Maintain database of patient procedures and notebook of operative reports
• Pre-certify patient procedures with insurance company
• Schedule patient procedures
• Verify insurance coverage with third-party payor
• Schedule physician appointments for new patients and follow up patients
• Other duties as assigned
