The Department of Radiology at our medical school, in collaboration with our children's hospital, is on the lookout for an exceptional academic pediatric neuroradiologist to take on the role of Director of Pediatric Neuroradiology . This position offers a remarkable chance to lead and enhance a nationally recognized pediatric neuroradiology service within one of the leading children's hospitals in the United States.

• The Director will offer strategic, clinical, educational, and research guidance for the Pediatric Neuroradiology section within the Pediatric Radiology division.
• Leadership duties will encompass direct management of all clinical operations, mentorship for faculty and trainees, promoting quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and operational efficiency, as well as developing strategic plans to boost national recognition.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including neurology, neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, and developmental pediatrics, will be essential.
• The Director is expected to enhance advanced imaging techniques, such as functional MRI, diffusion imaging, fetal MRI, quantitative neuroimaging, and artificial intelligence applications in neuroimaging.
• On the academic front, the Director should maintain a robust record of scholarly contributions and publications, work with basic scientists in the Pediatric Imaging Research Center (PIRC) and the Department of Radiology, and collaborate with clinical partners at the medical school to expand the fellowship training program.
• While grant funding is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite.
• The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting excellence in clinical care, driving innovation in neuroimaging, and supporting the academic objectives of the department and institution.

Qualifications:

• MD, DO, or an equivalent medical degree.
• Board certification in Radiology and completion of fellowship training or subspecialty certification (or eligibility) in Neuroradiology or Pediatric Radiology, with a focus on pediatric imaging.
• Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor (or eligibility for such appointment).
• Demonstrated leadership experience along with a proven track record in clinical excellence, scholarship, and teaching.
