About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Institutional Advancement to spearhead its philanthropic strategy and lead the advancement enterprise. This role is pivotal during a time of significant institutional growth and transition, as the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a clear strategy to increase philanthropic support and enhance the long-term advancement capacity. The Vice President will work closely with the president, trustees, cabinet members, faculty, alumni, donors, and community partners to align the division with institutional priorities, strengthen the culture of philanthropy, and establish the necessary systems and talent for a successful comprehensive campaign. Applicants for the Vice President position should have a proven track record in institutional advancement, with a focus on securing major and principal gifts. Experience in leading integrated advancement functions and developing high-performing teams is essential. The role requires a strategic leader with strong financial, organizational, and operational judgment, and a background in higher education, academic health, or a similar mission-driven organization is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and decisive leader, capable of engaging a diverse range of stakeholders, and will be committed to ethical leadership, donor intent, and accountability. A bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.
