Allied Technician - Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist (PT) - Home Health

This role is for a Physical Therapist primarily focused on Home Health, providing essential therapy services to patients in their homes. The position guarantees a full-time schedule, with set hours during weekdays.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations and assessments for patients in a home setting.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Perform regular follow-up visits and progress assessments, maintaining proper documentation.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and equipment use.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to optimize patient care.
• Potential involvement in safety evaluations or teaching related to hospice care on an as-needed basis.

Work Schedule

The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekend hours required. Holidays and additional time off will be managed as per departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in physical therapy, preferably in a home health setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid Physical Therapy License in the state of practice.
• OASIS training is preferred for candidates.

Required Attributes

Candidates must possess a current driver's license and auto insurance, as travel between patient homes is required. Mileage reimbursement is not available.

Orientation and Support

New hires will undergo a brief orientation period of 1-2 weeks, working alongside experienced professionals for guidance and support. Clinical coordination and managerial staff will also be available for questions and assistance during fieldwork.

Dress Code

The expected dress code for this role includes scrubs in black, navy blue, or grey.
