Role Overview

Our Fortune 500 telecommunications client is seeking an experienced QA Analyst to support production testing for customer-facing web and mobile applications.

This is a manual, front-end testing role focused on validating new functionality once it reaches production. The ideal candidate is not someone who simply executes predefined test cases - they are naturally inquisitive, think from the customer's perspective, recognize patterns, identify edge cases, and actively look for ways a feature could break.

You will work closely with a Production Test Lead and cross-functional delivery teams to perform Day of Launch and regression testing, quickly identify and reproduce defects, and continuously improve the effectiveness of existing test suites.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual functional testing on customer-facing web and mobile applications in production.
• Perform Day of Launch testing immediately following new software releases.
• Build and execute ongoing manual regression test suites.
• Identify, reproduce, document, and communicate defects quickly.
• Go beyond predefined test cases to explore edge cases and unexpected customer behaviors.
• Evaluate existing test suites and recommend improvements based on defect quality and effectiveness.
• Track test execution, pass/fail results, and defects using test management tools.
• Manage multiple testing efforts running concurrently.
• Partner closely with Product, Customer Experience, Development, SRE, and QA teams.
• Experiment with AI tools to assist with test-case and test-plan creation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of QA/testing experience, ideally within manual, front-end, functional, or UAT testing.
• Strong experience testing customer-facing web and/or mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience with production, launch, and regression testing.
• Strong exploratory testing and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to recognize patterns and identify defects beyond scripted test cases.
• Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems such as JIRA.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely across teams.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to automation testing.
• Experience experimenting with AI tools for QA or test-case generation.
• Familiarity with tools such as Kiro, Claude, or similar AI platforms.
