Job Details Patient Access | Hamilton | Part-time | First Shift Responsibilities & Requirements The Patient Registration I (Hamilton) role supports patient care and operational reliability by accurately registering patients, verifying insurance, and ensuring all required documentation is completed in accordance with regulatory standards. This position serves as a first point of contact, providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Required Education High school diploma or GED. Required Work Experience At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare administrative or customer service role. Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations None required. Skills Proficiency in computer systems and data entry Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and accuracy Basic understanding of insurance and healthcare processes Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Customer service orientation Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Competencies Review an account for quality and confirmation and can demonstrate the ability to update all aspects of a patient account Assist patients with the completion of Financial Assistance Forms, HCAP Application and Medicaid Applications (if applicable) Demonstrate knowledge of all compliance or legally required registration forms, consents, literature and documents Employee demonstrates consistent hand hygiene practices Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field. Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and familiarity with medical terminology bilingual or multilingual abilities.
