FOOD SERVICE WORKER (FULL TIME)

Job Summary Full‑time Food Service Worker to serve students at Lyon County School District, 3800 Spruce Avenue, Silver Springs, NV 89429. Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Fixed hourly pay: $13.00. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weigh and measure designated ingredients. Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures. Clean work areas, equipment and utensils. Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment. Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control. Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service. Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor. Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures. Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior school kitchen experience preferred. Ability to lift and carry food serving equipment. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Good communication skills and customer‑service orientation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
