Description American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Medical ICU position requiring an active NV RN license and a minimum of 2 years of Medical ICU experience. Details 8-bed Medical ICU setting within a hospital Chest pain accredited center without on-site cath lab or IR services (patients requiring these services are transferred to another campus) 1 Critical Care Technician staffed per shift ICU Charge RN also serves as the Rapid Response RN Set group of intensivists rotate weekly and are on-call 24/7 during the week 36 weekly guaranteed hours No call requirements Floating may be required to other units up to competency level Schedule may vary based on department needs, including weekends and some call shifts Uses Epic EMR for charting Requirements Active NV RN license required prior to start Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications only) Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required Travel experience preferred Epic EMR experience helpful; training provided during orientation or can test out Additional Information Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric ICU patients and their families throughout the episode of care Coordinate care with intensivists and other healthcare professionals Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (holiday eve and holiday day count as one holiday) May be required to pick up one additional shift during the 13-week schedule period Facility may cancel full or partial shifts with 48 hours notice due to low census, without penalty 13-week break required after completing a prior travel contract at this facility Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates within this radius are not eligible First-time travelers may be considered, provided all licensure requirements are met promptly upon offer RTO must be submitted with the initial application and will not be added to the end of the contract These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
