Title: Senior CNC Programmers (2 Open)

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90066 – onsite 5 days per week

Duration: 12 month contract to hire

Notes/work environment:

  • Flexible scheduling (generally ~7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, but adaptable)
  • Expect long hours and high workload, especially as production ramps
  • Weekend work may be required as operations scale

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of CNC programming experience (must include 5-axis programming)
  • Experience with lathe programming, including live tooling
  • Strong experience with Mastercam CAM
  • Experience machining, aluminum alloys, titanium, and nickel-based superalloys

Pluses :

  • Aerospace background
  • Experience working at a start-up/wearing multiple hats
  • Ability to work weekends/off hours as needed
  • Ability to mentor junior programmers or machinists

Day-to-day:

Insight Global is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer for one of our clients that is a cutting-edge aerospace startup developing advanced reentry systems to transform global logistics and national security capabilities.

As a Senior CNC Programmer you will support the machining and production of mission-critical spacecraft components. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will program and set up multi-axis machines and support high-priority aerospace builds in a fast-moving environment. In this role you will play a key role in turning complex designs into reliable, repeatable manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities will include but not limit:

  • Program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and/or CNC lathes for aerospace components
  • Work closely with design and manufacturing engineers on DFM feedback
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T
  • Support rapid prototyping and frequent design iterations
  • Assist with transitioning parts from prototype to production
  • Quality & Process:
  • Follow aerospace quality standards and internal manufacturing procedures
  • Support inspections, FAIs, and resolution of non-conformances
  • Maintain accurate documentation of programs and setup sheets
  • Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency and repeatability
