Control ManagerAs a Control Manager in Consumer & Community Banking (CCB), you join our Controls team, the firm's largest Line of Business. This role offers the opportunity to develop and enhance our control framework, contributing to our continuous approach to risk assessment. You'll be part of a dynamic team which supports CCB in serving millions of consumers and small businesses, with the potential for career growth and skill development in a market-leading company.The Control Manager will lead risk and control coverage for CCB Digital products, including new agentic platform and build out of governance framework. This role will have direct reports. The control manager partners with product, technology, data, legal, compliance, and risk stakeholders to assess risks throughout the solution lifecycle; define and evaluate controls for AI and Machine learning cases; and oversee the implementation, testing, and ongoing monitoring of controls supporting agentic deployments.The Control Manager will provide support for a proactive risk and control culture by identifying opportunities to enhance and improve existing control framework. The successful execution of responsibilities requires the ability to influence outcomes, partner, and effectively communicate across Consumer & Community Banking's control teams, business units, and support functions.Job Responsibilities:Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocolsReview and analyze program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) to support business-related programs and strategiesProvide leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment, including control breaks and resolutions, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational riskEngage with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functionsCollaborate with technology to ensure technical controls supporting Digital processes are working effectively and captured in CORE appropriately, including applications mapped into Digital products.Influence business partners toward a proactive control culture using a risk-based approach that leverages proven evaluation methods and sound change management protocolsPromote a sustainable and rigorous control environment that identifies, escalates, addresses, and mitigates risks in a timely mannerRequired Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required7+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or complianceProficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, enhance, and evaluate operational risk frameworksExceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage schedules and deadlines for multiple projectsExperience demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, strong work ethic, proactively setting and achieving challenging goals, ability to work independently, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and demonstrating effective leadershipProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and the ability to develop compelling and meaningful executive presentations that will drive opportunities / recommendation for improvementProficient ability to identify, remediate, report inconsistencies, redundancies, and control issuesExceptional critical thinking and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusionsStrong ability to articulate ideas and results in a meaningful and actionable mannerStrong interpersonal skills, exceptional relationship building and influencing skills and ability to effectively partner with all levels of management across numerous teams to help drive the control agendaPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:Experience assessing risks and control requirements across AI and Machine learning lifecycles, including data use, model behavior, human oversight, explainability, privacy, security, monitoring, and change management.Demonstrated ability to design, evaluate, and challenge controls for agentic solutions, including tool access, identity and permissions, autonomous actions, human-in-the-loop approvals, observability, incident management, and fail-safe behaviors.Experience partnering with product, technology, data, cybersecurity, legal, compliance, and risk teams to govern AI deployments, with the ability to translate technical risks into clear control requirements and evidence.
