Position: Patent/Compliance Law Attorney
Type: Contract
Compensation: $100–$150/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Author tasks and scenarios from real patent and compliance workflows such as patent drafting , claim construction , and regulatory filings .
• Review and grade AI responses for legal accuracy and adherence to professional standards.
• Produce model "golden answer" responses with detailed rationale to improve model training .
• Flag ambiguity, risk, and edge cases as a practicing attorney would.
• Work independently with flexible hours on a project-based schedule.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 3+ years of experience in patent law and/or regulatory compliance.
• J.D. (or LL.B./LL.M. equivalent) from leading US/UK/Canada law schools.
• Active or inactive bar admission in a U.S. , U.K. , or Canadian jurisdiction and/or USPTO/CIPO/UKIPO registration.
• Excellent written communication and ability to articulate complex legal reasoning.

Preferred

• Registered patent attorney/agent with a technical background in engineering , CS , life sciences , or chemistry .
• Hands-on experience with AML/BSA , OFAC , FCPA , HIPAA , FDA , GDPR/CCPA , or export control regimes.
• CIPP/CFE/CAMS certification is a plus.
