The team you would be joining is a full-service professional services firm providing clients with audit and assurance, tax, outsourced accounting, and advisory solutions.

Location: Washington-Baltimore metro area ~ 3 days onsite/2 days WFH

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

Looking for an experienced level tax role at an energetic & passionate company? We are in search of a Tax Accountant to join our team. This position is in the firm's DC-based office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership and S-corporation tax returns.
• Prepares personal tax projections.
• Reviews information submitted by client for completeness.
• Organizes & assembles client's tax data for accurate completion of tax returns.
• Makes adjusting entries and completes trial balances in order to prepare a tax return.
• Responds to tax notices of any sort and does initial drafts of any letters required.
• Utilizes various software to perform all job functions.
• Meets time constraints and client deadlines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 0-2 years of related experience.
• Either hold a current and valid certified public accountant's license, or meet the requirements to sit for the CPA exam.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (excel, word).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive firm and client information.
• Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and timelines.
• Ability to work independently, use sound judgment and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
