Health Safety Environment Coordinator -Night Shift

The ideal EHS Coordinator would demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to promoting a safe workplace, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to foster a culture of safety and compliance. This role is crucial in minimizing workplace accidents and ensuring a healthy environment for all employees, aligning operational practices with environmental sustainability goals. Responsibilities: Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for employees on health and safety practices, emergency response, and hazardous material handling. Inspections and Audits: Perform regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant health and safety regulations, keeping up to date with changes in laws and advising management accordingly. Documentation: Maintain records of safety training, incidents, and compliance audits, and generate health and safety assessment reports. Required Skills and Qualifications: Knowledge of Regulations: Strong understanding of environmental health and safety regulations and standards. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective training and reporting. Analytical Skills: Ability to assess risks and develop effective safety protocols. Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to identifying hazards and ensuring compliance. Experience: Minimum 2+ years in EHS roles, understanding of U.S. safety/environmental laws. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work under deadlines Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred occupational safety and health, or environmental science Certifications: OSHA Safety Certificate required, and Certified Safety Professional (CSP), EHS, ISO, or similar preferred.
