Full Time | Nights Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Full‑Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool Team on night shift at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie. This role is ideal for adaptable, experienced nurses who thrive in fast‑paced environments and enjoy caring for a diverse patient population. Schedule Full Time – 36 hours per week Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM No call required About The Role As a Float Pool RN, you will provide high‑quality patient care across multiple inpatient units within your clinical skill set. You’ll support areas throughout the hospital, gaining broad clinical exposure while helping meet critical staffing needs. Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence‑based nursing care Adapt quickly to various units based on staffing and patient needs Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies Required Qualifications Active Texas RN license Minimum 1 Year Of RN Experience Telemetry experience Preferred Qualifications Critical Care experience Specialty or Board Certification Strong adaptability and clinical confidence Benefits Our benefits are designed to help you live well. Your professionalism and experience help you make important recommendations that impact patient outcomes. Essential Functions Of The Role Focus on patient and family needs. Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes. Create a safe place for patients, families, and staff. Help with emotional and physical pain to aid healing. Embrace diversity in all its forms, incorporate the unique perspectives and requirements of patients into your care plans. Educate patients, families, staff, and community continuously. Evaluate and record learning progress. Work with team and community to implement care plan, delegation tasks as needed. Key Success Factors Thorough knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures. Knowledge of relevant laws, rules, and regulations, including nursing care certifications and accreditations. Familiarity with health promotion, risk reduction, illness and disease prevention, and management. Effective communication skills, both spoken and written. Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities. Good grasp of general computer skills. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited nursing program or have two years of relevant work experience.
