Supply Chain Manager
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, production planning, logistics, warehousing, and supplier relationships. This role ensures products are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time while maintaining quality standards and supporting organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Operations
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage the flow of materials, products, and information throughout the supply chain.
- Monitor and improve supply chain performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure adequate inventory levels while minimizing carrying costs and stock shortages.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable product availability.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation within the supplier network.
Inventory & Logistics Management
- Oversee inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment processes.
- Manage warehousing, transportation, and distribution activities.
- Coordinate logistics providers and shipping schedules to meet customer requirements.
- Analyze inventory trends and implement improvements to reduce waste and obsolescence.
Planning & Analysis
- Develop demand forecasts and collaborate with sales, operations, and production teams.
- Analyze supply chain data and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Monitor supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
- Support sustainability initiatives and ethical sourcing practices.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of supply chain, logistics, procurement, or operations management experience.
- Previous experience managing supplier relationships and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Costpoint systems, inventory management software, and data analysis tools.
Skills & Competencies

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Costpoint accounting systems.
- Strong communication and project management skills.

Working Conditions
- Full-time position with occasional travel to supplier, warehouse, and distribution locations.
- May require extended hours during peak operational periods or supply chain disruptions.
Reporting Structure
Reports To: General Manager
Direct Reports: Buyers, Planners, Inventory Analysts, Logistics Coordinators, and Warehouse Supervisors (as applicable)
