Mechanical Assembly Technician I IRHX

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembly Technician I to perform basic routine tasks in preparation for electronic assembly line production. This position operates on a Monday to Thursday schedule, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

• Assemble units using visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions, and wiring lists.
• Manually mask boards.
• Prepare parts for assembly.
• Kit parts using a bar code reader.
• Operate simple equipment such as swage, wire prep, contact system, preset dies, and cut-off machines.
• Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Ability to read and comprehend English verbal and/or written instructions and other documentation.
• Knowledge of ESD, safety, and component identification.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience in mechanical installation and assembly or related fields.

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Experience with blueprint, schematic, and wiring diagram interpretation.
• Ability to operate a personal computer with a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Strong mathematical skills for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure.
• Experience in interpreting blueprints and schematics.

Work in an extremely clean, temperature-controlled environment with 11 cell stations for electrical assembly. Each team consists of 7 to 9 technicians working collaboratively to assemble large and intricate units based on client specifications. Be prepared to work Saturdays as needed, with overtime never exceeding 58 hours per week. Enjoy double-time pay for Sundays worked upon permanent placement.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
