Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer - Cyber Tools Delinea & MFA Spec SME (26-253) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. Located in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.

This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It is a primary operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that provide an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations, both regionally and worldwide, to enhance performance. C2BMC is vital for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems.

The Cyber Tools Delinea and MFA Specialist SME will be involved in all phases of the System Development Lifecycle for Delinea Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), using 90-meter, Desktop Validator, and the Axway Repeater and Responder.

Essential Functions:

• Development of other Cyber Tools, such as Elastic for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and threat hunting, and BigFix for Patch Management

• Will develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), policy guides, STIG compliance reports, and configuration baselines

• Research and evaluate new features, updates, and best practices

• Recommend enhancements to strengthen the endpoint security program

• Will provide redlines to engineers and feedback to Cyber Leadership as part of position responsibilities

• Documenting lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and industry standards will be required as part of daily tasks as well

• The Cyber Tools Specialist will support the Cyber Tools team as part of the Cyber and Platforms (CAP) ART, demonstrating a strong track record of leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Basic Qualifications:

Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Cyber Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree

• Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period

• Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start

• 3+ years of experience implementing, deploying, and maintaining PAM (preferably Delinea) or an MFA solution

• Strong understanding of endpoint security concepts, threat-hunting basics, malware analysis, and zero-trust principles

• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills with the ability to produce clear SOPs and compliance artifacts

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex problems

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities

• Effective communication skills for explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong background in Windows Server and client administration within a virtualized environment

• Experience supporting cybersecurity in DoD, federal government, or similarly regulated environments, including STIG compliance and security baseline management

• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

• Strong knowledge of cyber technology and DoD information assurance system certification, hands-on experience with patch management, scanning and auditing, security event monitoring, host-based security, and multi-factor tools in an integrated lab environment, and excellent technical document preparation and verbal communication skills are required for presenting technical cyber issues and reports to Agile Release Train (ART) leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the Agile Lifecycle using the Risk Management Framework (RMF) is a plus

Primary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
