Road Mechanic This Road mechanic/technician performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime across a fleet that includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment. Education or experience that prepares you for success: High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired. 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty line equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, oil & gas). Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (age 21, CDL license may be required in some locations). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals. Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals. Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs. Physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required.
