Respiratory Therapist PRN

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care in complex patient situations, primarily in critical care settings. Responsibilities include medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, arterial blood gas analysis, and patient assessments. The RT II collaborates with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans, delivers patient and family education, and mentors new staff and students. They promote quality and safe environments by ensuring accurate documentation, adherence to protocols, and participation in performance improvement initiatives. The role also involves supporting invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary diagnostics, and contributing to a positive team environment. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills Proficiency in computer and database use Key Duties Assess patients and verify orders for therapy Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen, and medical gases Manage ventilators, including weaning and waveform interpretation Perform airway management procedures and arterial blood sampling Educate patients and support staff development Ensure high standards of safety, documentation, and compliance with policies Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practices #J-18808-Ljbffr Azza HealthCare Agency
