Equipment Transporter

Rate of Pay: $17.25 per hour

Position Purpose: Assists with load-in and load-out of the OC Fair performer's equipment from the drop-off location to the various entertainment stages throughout the property. This is a seasonal/temporary position not to exceed 122 days.

Essential Functions:

• Transports equipment by hand carts to various stages throughout the fairgrounds to assist entertainers.
• Uses electric carts to transport entertainers and their equipment from their vehicles to fairgrounds gates.
• May be asked to assist entertainers with loading and unloading of equipment.
• May be asked to assist other departments and vendors with transporting needs as requested.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be responsible and dependable.
• Excellent customer service skills necessary.
• Must be available to work at least 8 hours per day for the 23 days of the annual OC Fair.
• Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferences:

• Valid California driver's license required.
• Previous transportation experience.
• Previous stage experience.

Work Environment:

Will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment during all types of weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud when outdoors or in performance areas, and the employee must be able to tolerate loud music.
