CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description Job Description Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for a reputable manufacturing company in Duarte. This role is responsible for setting up and operating 2-axis CNC lathe machines to produce precision plastic and non-metallic components while meeting strict quality standards and production deadlines. CNC Lathe Machinist - 2nd Shift Location: Duarte, CA Pay Rate: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour Key Responsibilities * Set up and operate 2-axis CNC lathe machines for repeat production * Edit, load, and manage CNC programs * Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy * Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools * Identify and document non-conforming parts * Maintain production schedules and meet cycle time goals * Complete required production and MRP/ERP documentation * Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and improve processes * Perform secondary operations as needed * Monitor cycle times and drive efficiency improvements * Support continuous improvement initiatives and 5S standards * Follow all safety procedures and company policies Qualifications * 3+ years of CNC lathe machining experience * CNC programming and setup knowledge * Ability to read blueprints and technical documents * Experience with precision measuring tools * Strong math and problem-solving skills * ERP/MRP experience (JobBoss preferred) * Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Express Employment Professionals connects skilled talent with opportunities in manufacturing, including CNC operators, warehouse associates, forklift operators, maintenance technicians, quality inspectors, logistics coordinators, and production supervisors.
