Payroll Clerk

The Role We're looking for a detail-oriented, reliable Part-Time Payroll Clerk to join our administrative team. This role is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for our drivers and staff, maintaining payroll records, and supporting our HR and finance functions. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees Track and verify employee hours, overtime, PTO, and shift differentials Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees professionally and confidentially Maintains and updates employee benefits in the payroll system Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly Prepare payroll reports for management as needed Assist with onboarding paperwork related to payroll setup (tax forms, direct deposit, etc.) Support year-end payroll processes (W-2s, 1095C, etc.) Qualifications Prior payroll or bookkeeping experience required Experience with iSolved payroll software and QuickBooks required Strong attention to detail and accuracy Solid understanding of basic payroll regulations and tax withholding Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Office Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Schedule Part-time, flexible hours (specific schedule to be discussed during interview) Availability Monday and Tuesday Consistent weekly/bi-weekly commitment required to meet payroll deadlines Why Join Us Be part of a well-established, growing local transportation company Flexible part-time schedule Friendly, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to make a direct impact on a small business team This role is a great fit for someone seeking a flexible, meaningful part-time position - whether you're returning to the workforce, balancing other commitments, or simply looking for steady part-time hours in a friendly environment.
