Aircraft Maintenance Publications Engineer (Data & Support)

Job#: 3022346 Job Description: Support Engineering Data Specialist Location: San Antonio, TX (Onsite) Employment Type: Contract Role Overview An experienced aircraft maintenance analyst is sought to support the development and verification of technical publications for new aircraft development programs. This role involves interpreting and analyzing engineering data to create comprehensive aircraft maintenance instructions. The position requires influencing product design to ensure supportability and maintainability. Key Responsibilities Interpret and analyze engineering, reliability, maintainability, and supply chain data to develop aircraft maintenance instructions. Provide recommendations on product supportability and establish operation maintenance tasks. Identify and analyze logistics support candidates and develop logistics support analysis records. Write and maintain technical documentation for operating, testing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft systems. Review logistics support analysis reports and revise initial maintenance instructions for continued airworthiness (ICA). Track and status completion of tasks using internal workflow management tools. Perform quality checks on completed maintenance tasks. Influence maintenance approaches and product designs to ensure supportability. Validate the quality and accuracy of completed tasks on the aircraft. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an Aerospace discipline and 6+ years of related work experience preferred. Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master's degree with 4 years of related work experience, or High School Diploma with 10 years of related work experience). 5+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance or modifications 5+ years of experience interpreting engineering data for technical publications. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience authoring in eMOD. 2+ years of experience with SLICwave. 1+ years of experience with Technical Publications Validation/Verification.
