The Opportunity Ahead: EA IT's Game Development & Infrastructure Service (GDIS) team supports and empowers game development across EA's sites and Studio game teams, by providing leveraged IT Solutions that enable EA to build the world's best Games and Digital Playground. With the latest generation of Gaming Platforms, 4K resolution TVs and The Client modeling, there is exponential growth in the size of content related to EA's game titles. EA's business strategy leverages a highly distributed development model to produce its games. These trends combined are creating some unique and exciting Information Technology challenges for the GDIS team to ensure that we have highly performing, secure game dev technology tools and services which meet these business needs and requirements both today and in the future.The Lead Cloud Application Engineer is responsible for working with EA Enterprise and Game Development application owners and solution architects to ensure a successful deployment or migration strategy of their applications and services to the Cloud. This includes end-to-end integration of EA applications into EA IT Cloud reference models which cover CI/CD automation, pipelining, container/VM deployment on hybrid cloud, IaaS, PaaS, Serverless, etc. We are responsible for the enablement of cloud services which support Game Development, Employee Experience, Company Operations and Security teams across EA. Key Responsibilities include:Work with various application owner teams at EA to understand their application, the application requirements, the application dependencies, ideal build modelOn-board the applications into EA IT Application Delivery PipelineContribute to design and delivery of EA IT Cloud Reference architectures covering CI/CD automation, pipelining, container/VM deployment on hybrid cloudBuild automation and tooling to pull application source code, build artifacts, boot, run, manage applicationsBuild automation and tooling to create images, push images into trusted repositoriesBuild models into EA IT ADP to generalize application source code pull, build, artifact registry, push imagesContribute to application scaling, configuration, optimization, operation, lifecycle management with application and dev teamsMulti-tier applications, PaaS, SaaS hosting delivery including application architecture support, design and deploySkillsets:5 + years coding experience in DevOps CI/CD, Application, Automation Engineering rolesDemonstrated ability to write programs using a high-level programming language like: Java, C, C++, PythonExperience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Node.jsExperience with configuration management, automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, PuppetExperience with CI/CD tool set such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CIExperience with orchestration template technologies such as AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, HashiCorp TerraformHands-on development and operational experience with Docker and KubernetesExperience building, configuring, administering container technologies, Docker, rktExperience building, deploying, running and supporting large-scale, elastic, highly-available software on one or more of OpenStack, AWS, GCP/GCE, AzureHands-on operational experience in integration engineering, use of APIsDemonstrated capability to provide depth and breadth technical leadership to agile teamsExceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills; solution-oriented individualExperience in security and networkingExcellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a teamBS or MS Degree in Computer Science or Computer EngineeringWhat's in it for you? Compensation Base Salary - $140,000 to $160,000
