Overview PRN - Days Flexible Schedule We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate occupational therapist to join our home‑care team at Amedisys, one of the largest and most trusted home health and hospice companies in the United States. Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of occupational therapy service delivery under a physician-approved plan of care. Ensure the plan of care addresses all problems identified in the assessment or document rationale if identified problems are not addressed. Accountable for the safety and effectiveness of the occupational therapy service delivery process. Complete documentation timely and accurately. Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current license to practice occupational therapy in the state you are assigned to work. Graduate of an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA) or successor organizations. Eligible to take, or have successfully completed, the entry‑level certification examination for occupational therapists administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT). One year related occupational therapy experience to ensure knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide occupational therapy services to patients. If less than one (1) year experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or residency program established. Current CPR certification.
