What You'll Do:

• Review, validate, and process weekly freight invoices, ensuring accurate allocation codes, cost centers, rates, and supporting documentation.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, missing information, duplicate charges, and suspended invoices while partnering with Accounting and Program Finance.
• Coordinate domestic and international transportation activities, including government shipping systems, export documentation, shipment tracking, and required regulatory paperwork.
• Maintain accurate freight, shipment, and billing records; prepare transportation and cost reports; and support month-end close and audit requirements.
• Provide hands-on logistics support across receiving, stockroom, packaging, and shipping operations, including inventory transactions, cycle counts, hazardous materials handling, and MIL-STD-compliant packaging when needed.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ year of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
• 6+ year of experience in transportation or logistics field with demonstrated knowledge of shipping operations
• 6+ year of experience in freight billing, invoice processing, and cost analysis.

What Sets You Apart:

• Associate Degree
• Knowledge of safe material handling practices and ability to maintain compliance with client Environment, Health, and Safety policies.
• Working knowledge of government and international shipping regulations.
• Direct experience processing government shipments in WAWF, EASE, ETA (FAST and SIR), and GBL systems
• Direct experience processing export documents and filing EEIs through Automated Export System (AES)
• Experience with BI Inform or similar business intelligence and reporting tools for freight cost analysis
• Knowledge of freight rate negotiation and carrier contract management
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial systems
• Experience with freight audit and payment systems
• Experience with MRP systems and Agile Product Data Management (PDM) software tools
• Current or previous Dangerous Goods by Air certification (IATA or equivalent)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables), Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong organizational, operational, and leadership skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and time management abilities
• High degree of accuracy, integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
• Teamwork
• Self-starter/work independantly
• Good communication skills
• Experience in a shipping, transportation, or logistics environment 
• Ability to operate material handling equipment upon certification
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy, integrity, accountability, and excellence
• Good customer service, problem solving, and time management skills

Additional Information:

• Requires the ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance
• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to 9 hours
• Ability to handle items up to 45 pounds utilizing proper lifting techniques and material handling aids
