Technical skills are necessary to select proper equipment settings and positioning techniques for each procedure. They assess patients for optimum exposure techniques and take appropriate precautions for women of childbearing age regarding radiation exposure. Documentation is essential, including reviewing physician orders for accuracy prior to starting examinations.
