We’re partnering with an established packaging manufacturer in Sioux Falls to recruit a Customer Service Manager to lead its customer service function and support some of the company’s key accounts.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the pace and complexity of a manufacturing environment and can balance people leadership, customer relationships and internal coordination .
The Opportunity
You’ll take responsibility for a customer service team supporting customers from order entry through production and delivery.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Operations, Production, Scheduling and Supply Chain to make sure customer requirements are communicated clearly and issues are resolved quickly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, coach and develop a team of customer service professionals.
- Manage relationships with key customers and act as an escalation point for complex issues.
- Oversee order management, customer projects and day-to-day service performance.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Sales, Scheduling and Operations.
- Improve processes, communication and overall customer experience.
- Monitor workloads, priorities and team performance.
- Support new customer launches, product changes and other customer-driven projects.
- Ensure commitments around pricing, lead times, specifications and delivery are communicated accurately.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous people-management experience with direct reports .
- Customer service, account management or project management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Packaging, labels, printing, converting or a related industry would be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of how customer requirements flow through a manufacturing operation.
- Comfortable handling demanding customers, competing priorities and escalations.
- Strong communicator who can work effectively across commercial and operational teams.
- Experience improving processes and developing customer service teams.
