Position Summary The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to the rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) will assist the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing requested administrative and clinical duties. They will greet patients as they arrive to the clinic and work alongside the physical therapists and physical therapist assistants during patient treatment. These duties are conducted in compliance with state practice act requirements. Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, assist with treatments, and provide routine treatment Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under supervision Provide routine treatments, such as hot/cold packs, and other modalities (e.g., Ultrasound, Electrical stimulation) Clean work area and equipment after treatment Wash linens/towels, restock and maintain linen cabinets Maintain restrooms and other areas; restock supplies Assist Patient Experience Coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork and charts Assist with inventory tracking and ordering of clinic supplies Qualifications Education: High school graduate or equivalent; intern preferred Work Experience: Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience preferred Knowledge and Technical Skills: Strong written and verbal communication Ability to document all projects clearly and manage production Attention to detail and time management Patient/Client satisfaction: providing care that exceeds expectations Energetic, and a team player Compassion toward patients Task thoroughness Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred Language Skills Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently Physical Demands Visual requirements: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment Regularly required to talk and hear Ability to perform standard office activities (sitting, computer work, filing, lifting and carrying supplies) Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, reach with hands and arms Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds Fine hand manipulation (keyboard) Work Environment Internal office Noise level is usually low Athletico provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type.
