Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in ICU required, 4 years preferred License: Current RN License in California Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Charting system experience required (Epic) - Trauma Level I experience required - Skills in arterial line management, ventilator management, and more Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the ICU unit. The candidate must hold a valid RN license in California and possess BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. The ideal applicant should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICU setting, with 4 years preferred. Charge experience is preferred. Experience with the Epic charting system is mandatory. Experience in managing trauma Level I patients is required. The position involves working night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. The nurse will be responsible for managing critically ill patients and performing various life-saving procedures. Skills required include arterial line management, ventilator management, and handling central line care. The candidate will also need to demonstrate expertise in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. A strong understanding of infection prevention and protocols related to patient care is essential. The role may include performing procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal and administering blood products. Critical thinking and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment are crucial for success in this role. Weekend rotation is required. The nurse may be required to float to other units as needed.
