Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient

Outpatient Oncology RN
Active RN license in California at time of submission required. BLS certification (AHA or ARC) is necessary. ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification is also required. Minimum of 2 years of outpatient oncology experience is needed. Experience with EPIC charting is required. Key clinical skills include chemotherapy administration (IV push, continuous infusions, oral chemotherapy), infusion pump management and IV hydration, port/PICC/central line care and central line blood draws, start/maintain IVs and phlebotomy, manage extravasation and cytotoxic spill handling, neutropenic precautions, recognition and management of abnormal labs and chemotherapy side effects, patient/family education and supportive care across common oncology diagnoses.
Orientation: 40 hours. Return-to-work (RTO) policy: RTO must be ≥7 days and not within the first 2 weeks of assignment. Required for submission: Two supervisor references from within the last year, all relevant certifications, Nursys report dated within the last two weeks, and a copy of the COVID vaccination card.
