Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory Therapist Pediatric/Neonatal Services

Schedule: Every other weekend required

Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy
• NICU and/or PICU experience required
• Certifications: BCLS/BLS, RRT
• Pending license accepted (some state rules apply)
• Key clinical skills:
• Neonatal/pediatric ventilator management and weaning
• High-flow nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC
• Airway management: intubation assist, trach care, suctioning
• ABG interpretation and ventilator troubleshooting
• Pediatric critical care and ED/trauma experience preferred
• EMR: Experience with EPIC preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care to neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents.
• Perform assessments and develop care plans for patients requiring respiratory therapy.
• Administer and manage ventilatory support and treatments as necessary.
• Conduct airway management procedures and ensure patient safety during therapies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and home care.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 36 hours
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Fit testing may be required
• Compliance deadline for onboarding items must be confirmed with account manager
