Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

California

4x10 Hour Shift (07:00 - 17:30), Monday - Friday

The Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) will provide specialized care for patients undergoing various infusion therapies, including oncology-based treatments and blood transfusions. The RN will play a critical role in patient assessment, medication administration, and supporting the overall treatment plan.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and other infusions, adhering to safety protocols.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatments, recognizing and communicating any side effects.
• Manage access ports, ensuring sterile techniques are used.
• Provide education and support to patients and families about treatment regimens.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards within the infusion unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• California RN License (must be in hand prior to employment).
• Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) is required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of RN experience, with 2+ years preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in oncology nursing preferred.
