Site Manager

Role Summary:

NEP is transforming how the world consumes live sports and entertainment, built on a Global Media Solutions Ecosystem. The Connected Solutions division is the growth engine of this transformation, delivering centralized production, cloud-based workflows, and connectivity for the world's biggest properties, streamers, and networks.


We are seeking a Site Manager to serve as the on-site leader for NEP's New York Connected Solutions facility. This hands-on leader will oversee day-to-day site execution across production support, facility operations, and local production activity, while coordinating closely with engineering and technical operations, ensuring the site operates with the reliability, professionalism, client-service mindset, and operational discipline expected of NEP.


The Site Manager will be highly visible in the production facility, directly engaged with clients and local teams, and accountable for facility readiness, workplace standards, team culture, budget discipline, and local execution. As part of the broader US Connected Solutions operating model, this role will partner with facility leaders, engineering, technical operations, production services, sales, and account management to ensure New York operates as a high-performing node within NEP's connected production ecosystem. Salary is $120,000 - $150,000 per year.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Leadership & Operational Excellence

Lead the New York Site: Serve as the on-site leader for the New York Connected Solutions facility, ensuring the site is organized, professional, client-ready, and operating at a high standard every day.
Drive Operational Standards: Partner with engineering, technical operations, and production operations to document, adopt, and enforce SOPs, runbooks, escalation paths, facility workflows, and broader US/Global Connected Solutions standards.
Bridge Engineering and Operations: Serve as a practical connector between technical teams and production/client-facing teams, helping translate needs, priorities, and constraints across groups.
Support Facility Scheduling & Utilization: Partner with production managers, scheduling teams, technical operations, and engineering to support facility utilization, resource planning, capacity visibility, and future growth needs.
Maintain Facility Readiness: Own the overall workplace and facility experience, including cleanliness, safety, access, room readiness, equipment organization, vendor coordination, and local office culture.
Prepare for Growth: Help position the New York facility to support additional customers, expanded workflows, and future Connected Solutions growth.


2. Client Service & Local Relationship Management

Local Client Partner: Act as the primary on-site operational sponsor and escalation point for customers using the New York facility, ensuring clients experience NEP as responsive, prepared, professional, and solution oriented.
Lead On-Site Client Engagement: Build strong day-to-day communication with customers, production partners, and internal account teams to ensure expectations are clear and service delivery is strong.
Support Sales & Account Management: Partner with Sales, Strategic Accounts, and Account Management as needed for customer meetings, facility tours, scheduling, local activations, and operational solutioning.


3. Team Leadership, Culture & Communication

Lead the Local CS Team: Manage and develop the small Connected Solutions team based in the New York facility and coordinate freelance and day-hire resources as needed to support production activity.
Build a Strong Local Culture: Create a positive, accountable, client-focused team environment grounded in operational excellence, communication, collaboration, and professionalism.
Lead From the Floor: Maintain a visible, in-person leadership presence, staying close to the team, clients, and day-to-day operating reality.
Manage Performance: Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, training, and engagement for the New York-based CS team, while helping coordinate and provide feedback on freelance and day-hire resources.


4. Budget, Resource & Facility Management

Manage the New York Facility Budget: Manage day-to-day operating expenses, staffing and freelance resources, facility overhead, maintenance, vendors, and other local costs within approved financial targets, partnering with leadership on larger capital or infrastructure needs.
Drive Financial Discipline: Partner with Finance, Production, and Operations leadership on resource utilization, labor efficiency, cost management, and future capacity needs.


5. Live Event Support & Schedule Flexibility

Support Live Production Needs: Be available as needed for major live events, customer-critical workflows, escalations, facility activations, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Coordinate Across Hubs: Partner with other Connected Solutions facilities, including South Florida, Dallas, Los Angeles, and other NEP locations, to support multi-site workflows and shared customer delivery.

The Ideal Candidate:

You are a hands-on site leader who understands that great facilities are built through people, preparation, communication, and operational discipline. You do not need to be the deepest technical engineer in the room, but you must understand live production environments well enough to lead and coordinate technical resources, support clients, and make good operational decisions.

The Site Leader: You take ownership of the building production facility, the team, the client experience, and the details. You notice when something is not ready, not clean, not clear, or not working and you fix it.
The Culture Builder: You know how to create pride, accountability, and teamwork in a high-pressure live production environment.
The Client Service Leader: You are comfortable in front of major customers and know how to communicate with calm, clarity, and professionalism.
The Operator: You bring structure to fast-moving environments. You establish routines, clarify ownership, follow up, and make sure the details do not get missed.
The Technical Translator: You can work effectively with engineers, operators, production teams, account managers, and executives, translating between technical realities and client/business needs.
The One NEP Partner: You understand that New York is part of a broader Connected Solutions ecosystem and know how to collaborate across facilities, functions, and leadership teams.


Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in live production, broadcast operations, streaming operations, media facilities, technical operations, production operations, venue operations, or a related operational leadership environment.
Experience leading or coordinating small teams and freelance resources in a high-pressure, client-facing live production or operational environment.
Experience managing a facility, production operation, technical operation, control room environment, TOC/NOC, or similar live media workplace preferred.
Strong client-service orientation, with experience supporting major customers, executive stakeholders, or high-profile productions.
Operational fluency in centralized production, REMI workflows, IP-based production, live event operations, facility engineering, TOC/NOC workflows, or cloud/hybrid production preferred but not required.
Demonstrated ability to manage local operating expenses, staffing and freelance resources, facility needs, vendors, and day-to-day operating priorities.
Strong communication, organizational, and follow-through skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
Must be based in or willing to work full-time from Van Nuys, CA.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by live events and client schedules.
Occasional travel to other NEP or customer locations may be required.
