Job Overview River Oaks Hospital, private psychiatric facility in New Orleans, Louisiana, seeks a dynamic Admissions Intake Counselor (Full Time). The role involves providing quality crisis intervention, coordinating assessments, and processing admissions within hospital standards. Responsibilities Provide crisis intervention and referral services to all populations. Schedule and coordinate assessments for potential admissions. Process admissions ensuring compliance with hospital standards and guidelines. Maintain accurate patient intake documentation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care. Qualifications Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field. Preferred licensure: LCSW, LPC, or RN Louisiana. Crisis intervention training required; experience on a Crisis Line or in a psychiatric setting preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
