Job Title

Registered Nurse – Renal Medical-Surgical Unit (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 36 hours per week | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs on a renal medical-surgical unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry continuously, performing frequent patient assessments
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
• Manage a high-acuity, high-turnover patient population requiring complex medical-surgical interventions
• Float as needed within scope to similar units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license (required at time of submission)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Epic EMR proficiency (mandatory; must be clearly documented in submission, no training provided)
• Must meet all qualifications at time of submission; competency assessment required on Day 1

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for renal patients in an acute care setting strongly preferred
• Proven adaptability and critical thinking skills in high-volume, fast-paced environments
